Quiz Night
What a great response we had again to this year's Annual Quiz Night on Friday 4th February with all the teams battling to win the title of “Most Intellectual Team in Hampshire”! ‘The Old Ruins managed to steal their title back from ‘Quiz Team Aguilera’ winning themselves a dinner for 6 at Signature Restaurant at the Mecure Dolphin Hotel in Southampton. This is the first time in two years that ‘Quiz Team Aguilera’ have had to take second place. Simon Tooley the Quizmaster hosted the event and incorporated a new plastacine round this year which went down really well and we raised over £1100. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who comes along each year to support us. Next years Quiz Night will be held on Friday 3rd February 2012.
Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2
Harry Potter fans packed into Hampshire Autistic Society's Charity Screening of part 2 of the eagerly awaited eighth and final film in the Harry Potter series.
The special event, on the opening night saw guests enjoy a drinks reception at Chicago Rock Café in Fareham, whilst being entertained by magicians and face painters.
Guests then made their way into the Apollo Cinema in Fareham with their complimentary drinks and popcorn to experience the final 'tales from Hogwarts'.
The evening was a fantastic success and has raised monies and awareness of autism over the Harry Potter series and we would like to take this opportunity to thank Zoe Wooll and Mike Farr at the Apollo Cinema in Fareham, Stephan Boxall at Chicago Rock Café, Britvic and Silly Scott for their generous support in making the evening such a success.
Thank you also to everyone who has come along to watch the series and support the Society.
