A team of 32 runners took part in this year Great South Run held on 28th October to help raise money for the Hampshire Autistic Society.

We are delighted to tell you that pledged monies promise to be over
£4000! A special thank you to all our runners who took part, Fitness First for sponsoring the marquee, SWIFT UK for making the t-shirts for all our runners and O'Brien's for supplying all the runners with food after the race.

It was a brilliant atmosphere despite the weather and the runners were are in high spirits after their gruelling 10 mile run in the rain.

The date for next year's Great South Run is Sunday 26th October 2008 so anyone wishing to run, mark it in your diary and contact the charity to try and gain yourself a place and help raise money for such a worthy local cause.
