An Evening With Matt Le Tissier (Friday 30th October 2009)
Guests were
treated to an evening in the company of two of the South's biggest Sporting legends when Special Guest Lawrie McMenemy joined Matt Le Tissier for his 'Evening with'.
Guests were treated to a delicious 3-course dinner before being entertained by Matt with tales of his 16-year career at the top level of English football and many of the faces he met along the way. Lawrie McMenemy, who famously guided Saints to their only triumph in the FA Cup in 1976, when they overcame Manchester United at Wembley, then joined Matt for the Question and Answer session.
Hosted by compere Tony Husband, the pair answered a range of questions from guests, offering an insight into their illustrious careers. The evening was then rounded off with raffle and auction lots, before Matt and Lawrie kindly posed for photographs and signed autographs.
All that were present enjoyed a fantastic evening and a massive thanks must go to both Society Ambassador, Matt and Fundraising President, Lawrie for donating their time. A special mention must go to the BBC's Tony Husband for supporting his first Hampshire Autistic Society event and all the staff at the Botleigh Grange Hotel. |
