Celebrity Sponsored Walk (Thursday 4th - Friday 5th October 2007)

Still smiling after a grueling 40 mile walk

A group of local celebrities including the likes of Shaun Udal, Nick Pothas, John Crawley and Billy Taylor and many more took part in a sponsored walk over two days starting from Southampton to Winchester and back again all to raise funds for the Hampshire Autistic Society.

We are delighted to tell you that they raised over £15,000 which is a tremendous amount. Their gruelling 40 mile walk certainly paid off!

Their journey finished in Southampton and a party was held in POSH Restaurant to celebrate their amazing achievement. The 200 guests were greeted by a drinks reception then moved on to feast on copious amounts of Indian food and being entertained by live vocals from 'TUX' and ending it off with a disco. Half way through the evening Shaun Udal made his speeches and compered the auction with a signed cricket bat from Shane Warne going for £700.

It was a terrific evening and enjoyed by everyone who attended. Shaun Udal commented "Thank you to everyone who helped support this event to raise so much money for a charity that is very close to my heart".
