| Superhero 5 Mile Run and Walk (Saturday 5th July 2008) |

| Superheroes turned out in force to
support both Hampshire Autistic Society and Power FM's
charity, Help a Local Child. Superman, Bananaman, Spiderman
and the Incredibles all took part in the Annual Superhero
run at Itchen Valley Country Park. More than 100 walkers
and runners took part in the three events - a five mile
walk, a two mile run for children and a five mile run
for adults. One participant, 15 year old Darrell Salter
set himself a tougher challenge and completed all three
races dressed as a Footballing Superhero. Everyone had a fantastic day and we are hoping when the final sponsorship monies are in we will have raised thousands of pounds! |
