On New Year's Day at Stokes Bay in Gosport brave volunteers opted for a refreshing start to 2009 by immersing themselves into the freezing Solent to help raise money for the Society.
The Mayor of Gosport signalled the start of the swim at noon and each swimmer got presented with a certificate as confirmation they have been in the sea.
Our brave volunteers raised over £700 which is fantastic - well
done to you all.
