To support the development of a protocol for service user and carer involvement in the day to day running and organisation of the Society.
To work in conjunction with members of all service user development project groups to ensure that processes and structures developed are accessible to and meaningful to service users.
To investigate and establish links with Local Advocacy Services in order to ensure objective service user involvement.
To ensure that the Valuing People, BILD Quality Network and the CSCI are the main drivers of this project group.
To investigate and establish links with Local Advocacy Services in order to ensure objective service user involvement.
To establish and receive reports from Locality Reference Groups.
To feed back to the Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees.
Key Actions
To establish service user/carer reference groups in each of the localities.
To map the service user and carer involvement processes and structures across the Society.
To develop and implement an action plan from the
mapping - in particular to share good practice,
identify training needs etc.
To research and learn from areas of good practice
elsewhere in the country.
Frequency of Meetings
The group will meet on at least a monthly basis.
A minimum attendance of at least one representative
and the lead will be required for an effective meeting
to take place.
Reporting Arrangements
The group will report quarterly to the CEO and provide an update report through the team briefing process and the Society Newsletter.
