Staffing and Policies
Hope Lodge School boasts a high staff to student ratio. Our highly skilled staff comprises our Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher, Senior Teacher, six Teachers (including a specialist music teacher) and a large number of Teaching Assistants. A particular strength of the school is our Family Liaison Officer, who supports transition and maintains family links and support, as well as offering advice and outreach.
We
strive for excellence and are constantly updating our policy and practice in
line with National recommendations and guidelines. We welcome visits from
parents and professionals and value their feedback. We have a clear and
comprehensive policy on child protection and a whistle blowing culture. Our
staff are fully trained in child protection, discrimination and children's
rights. However, we understand that problems may still arise from time to time
and we have comprehensive procedures and policies to deal with these. All
complaints are logged and held on file.
The building has
been risk assessed by an independent consultant and emergency procedures and
fire precautions are clearly indicated throughout the building.
