Person Centred Approaches & Planning
We provide a 2 day training course for all staff on the use of Person Centered Planning and Approaches which forms the basis of the way in which all support is delivered. The philosophy is to place the person right at the centre and to always consider how we ensure we are supporting them to achieve the things they wish or need to in a way that suits their skill level, maintains their dignity, empowers them and minimises risks. The Society is totally committed to monitoring how staff take this forward and translate their learning into service delivery.
Staff are supportedĀ to continually encourage self expression and work consistently with an individual to ensure that their specific needs are being met and actively engage and work with other professionals in partnership to ensure that our approaches and methods of support are robust and transparant.
There are a number of ways in which we monitor this to ensure people we support receive individual and good quality services from us here are some of things we do:
- Supervision of staff
- Team meetings
- Senior operational discussions
- Person Centred Approach (PCA) meetings
- Independent quality audits
- Stakeholder surveys
- Review meetings
- PCA audits
