This is a step by step guide to helping you plan your event:-
  1. Choose a date and venue - use a convenient location that will work well for your event and consider the time of year too. Make sure your event doesn't clash with other activities going on in the community.
  2. Decide your event - take a look at our A-Z of Fundraising Ideas there is a whole host of suggestions.
  3. Set a fundraising target - keep it realistic and achievable.
  4. Invite your guests - the more people who you have the more money you will raise for Hampshire Autistic Society.
  5. Promote your event - put up posters and contact your local media.
  6. Ask for help - Get friends, family and work colleagues to help you. Set them jobs to help you source - raffle prizes, display posters and sell tickets.
  7. Donations to Hampshire Autistic Society - ask your guests to complete a Gift Aid form for any donations made. This is will enable Hampshire Autistic Society to claim an extra 28p in every £1 donated with no extra cost to you or the person making the donation. Contact the Hampshire Autistic Society Fundraising Team for Gift Aid forms.
  8. Have fun - The key to a great event and successful fundraising is to enjoy yourself. The more fun you have, the more your guests are likely to give!
  9. Say thank you - It is important to thank everyone who is involved in the event, so let them know how much you have raised for Hampshire Autistic Society.
  10. Sending your money - Please make cheques payable to "Hampshire Autistic Society"" and send them to: Fundraising Department, 1634 Parkway, Solent Business Park, Whiteley, Fareham, Hampshire, PO15 7AH together with your name, address and event details so we can say thank you to you!
